ICTE336 - Instructional Technologies and Material Development

Course Description: This course covers the characteristics of various instructional technologies, the place and use of technologies in instructional process; development, design, use and integration of teaching materials through instructional technologies that facilitate and enhance learning and meet instructional goals.

Objectives: The subject is designed to help learners develop broad knowledge in integrating ICTs to language instruction.  In this respect, upon the completion of the course students will be able to

  • identify the characteristics of 21st century teachers and learners,
  • integrate technology and media into instruction,
  • design and develop an e-learning environment using Web 2.0 tools,
  • enhance teaching and learning process with multimedia.
