Ali Hakan Ulusoy was born in Eskişehir, Turkey, on June 3, 1974. He received his B.S. degree through a double major program in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Physics from Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) in 1996. He completed his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at EMU in 1998 and 2004, respectively. In 2004, he joined the Department of Information Technology at EMU as an instructor. He was appointed as a Visiting Assistant Professor in 2005, promoted to Assistant Professor in 2007, Associate Professor in 2013, and Professor in 2019. He served as Assistant Director of the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research (IGSR), EMU, from January 2012 to August 2017, and as Acting Director from August 2017 to December 2019. He was appointed as the Director of IGSR in January 2020 and served in this role until January 2, 2026. His research interests include wireless communications, receiver design, channel estimation, fuzzy systems, wireless networks, cloud computing, millimeter-wave communications, and healthcare system development.
