Nigar Taspinar is an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Department of Banking and Finance at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), North Cyprus. She received her Ph.D. in Finance from Eastern Mediterranean University, North Cyprus, in 2016. Her teaching and research interests lie on Financial Management, Energy and Environmental Economics, Energy Finance, Applied Financial Statistics, and Applied Econometrics. She has published several research papers in international peer-reviewed journals. Amongst these include Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Science of the Total Environment, Energy & Environment, The Service Industries Journal, International Trade and Economic Development, and Environmental Science and Pollution Research. Also, she has served as a referee for many prestigious academic journals.
