Within the scope of the “6th International Career Week” organized by the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Graduate Relations and Career Research Directorate (MIKA) Faculty of Communication, Department of Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design hosted Paris based HM Studio Director and “Poster for Tomorrow” coordinator, world famous designer Dr. Herve Matine.
Herve Matine delivered an intriguing presentation that looked at the power of design titled “One person is a start: a thousand is a movement that cannot be denied”. Following the presentation that attracted the attention of students and academicians, a “Freedom of Movement” themed exhibition was launched. The exhibition is comprised of the top 100 posters out of 6993 designs from 133 different countries.
The exhibition that features poster designs of EMU Faculty of Communication, Department of Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design students was showcased for the first time in Cyprus after being showcased in the USA, Brazil, Russia, Iran, Morocco, Korea and Turkey. In a statement EMU Department of Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Senih Çavuşoğlu stated that this event is very important in terms of bringing an important designer and competition exhibition to the TRNC for students, academicians and everyone who has an interest in design.
The exhibition can be viewed until Friday, the 30th of March 2018 at the Exhibition Platform of the EMU Department of Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design.
