Dr. Aydin has completed his PhD at The University of Notingham, UK, in December 2016 and he is currently working as an assistant professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department, Engineering Faculty, Eastern Mediterranean University. He has wide range of experience on absorption materials and processes, heat storage and solar thermal systems, evaporative cooling and desiccant technologies. Dr. Aydin has worked on a number of projects on absorption heating and cooling funded by the InnovateUK and published over 30 papers in refereed journals and conferences. He is the supervisor/co-supervisor of several MSc and PhD students. Dr. Aydin has a current research on development of efficient composite materials for absorption/adsorption based heating, cooling and energy storage. Dr. Aydin is experienced on experimental design and numerical modelling of thermal processes. He is the reviewer for the several journals including; Energy, Applied Energy, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews and Energy Conversion and Management.
