Biography

Prof. Dr. S. Habib Mazharimousavi is a theoretical physicist who received his Ph.D. diploma under the supervision of Pro. Dr. Omar Mustafa at the Department of Physics, Eastern Mediterranean University in 2008. He also received his MS and BS degrees from Isfahan University in 1997 and 2000, respectively. He joined the Physics Department at Eastern Mediterranean University as an Assistant Professor in 2010 and consequently in 2013 he was appointed as Associate Professor. He has been serving the Physics Department as a Professor of theoretical physics since 2019. He has been appointed as the vice-chair of the department as well as the chair of graduate studies since 2018.

His research interests include three different subjects in the framework of theoretical physics: Mathematical Physics, Quantum Theory, and General Theory of Relativity. In Mathematical Physics he is working on the Physics of Biological Bilayers, Quantum on curved surfaces, Nonlinear Electrodynamics, and related topics. In Quantum Theory he is working on Non-Hermitian Quantum Systems, Quantum Particles with Position Dependent Mass, and related topics. Finally, in General Relativity, he is interested in Black Holes, Wormholes, Compact Objects in Cosmology, and related topics.
