EMU Represented at International Energy Congress

The Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) was represented at the “Understanding the Geopolitical Shifts in Real Activities and Finance Sectors” themed 3rd International Congress on Economics, Finance and Energy (EFE 2018) that took place in Kazakhstan’s capital and largest city Almaty. The congress was attended by academicians and experts from all over the world. The congress that featured debates about geopolitical shifts in real activities and finance sectors of Eurasia and developing countries was attended by 2015 Nobel Prize in Chemistry Winner Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar as well as 90 academicians and experts from countries like Kazakhstan, the USA, Azerbaijan, India, China, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Libya and Georgia. The Eastern Mediterranean University was represented by Faculty of Business and Economics, Department of Economics academic staff member Prof. Dr. Vedat Yorucu.

Prof. Dr. Yorucu delivered two presentations titled “Hydrocarbon Riches and Regional Collaborations in the Eastern Mediterranean” and “Examining the Effect of Economic and Political Imbalance on LNG Import Prices Using Wavelength Methodology: The Case of Japan”.
