Short biography of Tolga Çelik

Asst. Prof. Dr. Tolga Çelik (born April 1987 in Loughborough – UK) is a civil engineer. He is currently the director of Construction Management & Technology program and a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Civil Engineering Department at Eastern Mediterranean University, where he is teaching engineering economics, construction and project management courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

He studied civil engineering at Cardiff University (BEng, 2009) U.K, and received his Master of Science degree in Construction Management at Loughborough University (MSc, 2010) UK. He completed his PhD studies at University of Salford (PhD, 2014) UK. He worked as a visiting scholar at San Diego State University, USA (December, 2013 – April 2014) for a funded Marie Curie project under the Seventh Framework Program for Research and Technological Development of EU. The project he participated intended to explore the potential of a new tool for renovating degraded public spaces and improving the attractiveness and accessibility of deprived urban areas by focusing on the high potential of local commercial activities.  

Since September 2015, he is a faculty member of Civil Engineering Department at Eastern Mediterranean University.  

He is a married man and father of two sons.
