Four new programs are now available in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) thanks to the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) that has graduated over 55 thousand graduates from 106 different countries and currently has over 20 thousand students. Applications for the 2018-2019 Academic Year Fall Semester are now being accepted for the postgraduate programs Diplomacy and Conflict Management, General Psychology, Human Resources Management and Tourism Management (Turkish) that have been approved by the Higher Education Planning, Accreditation and Coordination Council as well as the Republic of Turkey Council of Higher Education.
According to the statement released by the EMU Institute of Graduate Studies and Research students with an undergraduate diploma can apply for the new postgraduate programs by the 15th of September 2018 from the website http://grad.emu.edu.tr.
New Programs With and Without Theses
The “Diplomacy and Conflict Management” English postgraduate program with a thesis offered by the EMU Faculty of Business and Economics, Department of Political Science and International Relations is comprised of 7 courses, a seminar course and a thesis. It includes a range of disciplines such as International Law and Global Management in a theoretical as well as practical framework. The program produces knowledge and skill required for careers such as local intermediator or relating to international human aid and peace-building organizations. The program also establishes useful local, regional and global connections for students participating in the program.
The “Human Resources Management” English postgraduate program without a thesis offered by the EMU Faculty of Business and Economics, Department of Business Administration is comprised of ten courses and a project. The program aims to educate knowledgeable, well equipped and well-trained personnel, in the fundamentals and especially the human resources aspect of business to work in a global environment.
The “Tourism Management” Turkish postgraduate program offered by the EMU Faculty of Tourism is comprised of 7 courses, a seminar course and a thesis. The program prepared in collaboration with the tourism industry aims to equip students to become leading academicians and managers in the sector.
The “General Psychology” Turkish postgraduate program with a thesis comprises of 7 courses, a seminar course and a thesis. Students will receive their education and prepare their theses based on the module they select out of a possible three modules. The modules will represent the three sub fields of psychology Social, Developmental and Cognitive Psychology whilst also allowing prospective graduates to continue their education at doctorate level and earn the title “Expert Psychologist”
